Commitment to Non-Violence

Indivisible’s commitment to non-violence: “We reject all forms of political violence and
intimidation, no matter the source of the target. That’s not just a moral stance—it’s a strategic
one. Movements that create lasting change do so by building trust, forging solidarity, and
demonstrating discipline, even in the face of threats or attacks.
So, as we gather here today, we request that you STOP, DROP, and SIT should anyone
start vandalizing, throwing things, or causing chaos. Per Indivisible:
● Stop, drop, and sit right where you are.
● Sit in silence with your sign down.
● Why? Because if every real protester sits down at once, the violent ones STAND
OUT just like a sore thumb. That’s how we show the world they don’t belong to us.
